The job-seeking journey can be as unique and creative as individuals themselves. Instead of strictly adhering to the conventional formula, simply embrace every opportunity and strive to become an impressive candidate in the eyes of employers

This doesn't mean you should disregard or completely overlook traditional job search methods. However, there's no harm in incorporating non-traditional methods to achieve your goals. For example, online interviews have become increasingly common, and you should start getting accustomed to them.

1. Don't apply as soon as you find a job opening.

The feeling of applying everywhere and then feeling disheartened by not getting responses is the worst part of the job search process. When you find a position you're genuinely interested in, applying should be the last thing you do. Instead, research the company and professionals working there, network 'in the know' before you submit your application to understand the company culture and what they expect from candidates."

2. Acknowledge that you need help

You can seek advice from others. We often put pressure on ourselves to appear smart and dynamic to land a job. But try building relationships with people you want to work with, express your admiration for them, and ask for advice. This is something you should do before the company has a job opening for you to apply for.

Don't hesitate to chat or call them to express your admiration, ask about interesting aspects or challenges in their work, and then ask for advice.
